Kendra Belden, LMHC

kendra I started my journey in the counseling field after graduating from IU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice and a master's degree in counseling.  I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2001 and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor since 2008.   I have worked with youth and teens primarily in my career in various settings for over 30 years, including schools, homes, secure residential setting, and private practice.   My experience includes working within the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, working with those who have experienced abuse, neglect, and other trauma, including survivors of sex trafficking, as well as grief, divorce, and peer relationships amongst many other life challenges.

My passion is to be part of the process of change for those wanting to improve their lives and well-being.  As part of the Ferris & Associates team, my focus is on teens and young adults as they navigate their way through life and the complexity of adolescence and adulthood.   I am a strength-based, trauma-informed advocate for the client and view our counseling journey as an opportunity for growth and transformation.
